Parents and Guardians,

Today, the WES Board made the decision to reopen the school on Monday, March 1, 2021. We are very excited that we will have the majority of our students on campus again. We will continue to take every precaution possible in order to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

In-person instruction will be different when we reopen. Instruction will no longer be synchronous for in-person and online students. Students on campus will use technology but they won’t be taught online. They will have the regular classroom experience.

Online instruction will change. We will have one Online Instruction teacher who will have scheduled times with the different grade levels. Students in the online program must be responsible enough to attend instructional Zoom meetings and then complete the work at home. We will still try our best to support every student but we have to admit that some students have not been and most likely will not be successful with online instruction.

We urge parents to consider sending their children to school unless there is a medical condition that requires them to stay home. All of our data shows that students learn best when they are in the classroom. Please consider sending your children to school.

We will be making a new schedule and it is very important that we know which students will still be learning through our online program. We would also like to have a celebration with the students who are coming on campus so we need to know if your student will be attending in person. If you have already notified us – thank you!

Once again, we are very happy to announce – school will reopen on Monday, March 1.
